Today, July 7, 2026, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Assad, President of Cihan University-Duhok; Mr. Sikvan Hassan Ali, Director General of Duhok Governorate Directorate of Education; and Mr. Yahya Reza, Director of Training and Development at the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the 5th Pedagogical Training Course for teachers was officially inaugurated at Cihan University. The opening ceremony was also attended by the Directors of Education for the districts of (West, East, Semel, and Amadiya), alongside the Director of Cihan Academy.

This course is conducted within the framework of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities and the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Supervised by a specialized committee, the training program is delivered by expert professors and professional trainers. It covers five core subjects divided into the following areas: Educational Psychology, Measurement and Evaluation, Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Classroom Management, and Teaching Methods.

Notably, this course hosts (107) participating teachers from various schools and high schools under the Duhok Directorate of Education. The program aims to advance the scientific and pedagogical capabilities of the teachers, preparing them to adapt to rapid technological advancements and modern teaching methodologies in alignment with global standards.
