A panel discussion was organized today, November 26, 2023, by the Department of General Education at Cihan University-Duhok where renowned professors from the field of English language learning and teaching from various universities in Kurdistan shared insights and raised questions. The panel titled ‘The Status of English Language Learning and Teaching in Kurdistan’ was moderated by General Education faculty Dr. Khalid Ibrahim and Mr. Zeravan Ayoub Ahmed. Topics included the challenges of learning and teaching English and suggestions for improving English language learning and teaching. The purpose of the discussion was to bring experts together to exchange ideas and share insights. Panelists included Prof. Dr. Alya M.H. Ahmed Al-Rubai'i and Dr. Asmaa Amin Hussein from University of Duhok, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sanan Shero Malo from University of Zakho, and Asst Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdulkareem Shaban from Cihan University-Duhok.
