the Department of General Education presented a seminar to students of the first stage on: misconceptions in psychology

Today, on (8/3/2022), the Department of General Education presented a seminar to students of the first stage on (misconceptions in psychology) by (assistant lecturer Wafaa Ali Khder) and (assistant lecturer Ghariba Hadi Abdullah) and in the presence of the head and professors of the department. The seminar included misconceptions about several themes, which are: 
1- Brain capabilities.
2 -Right and left side of the brain.
3- Mid-life crisis. 
4-Psychoanalysis. 
5-Psychological disorder.
6-Mental disorders. 
7-Psychological problems in children and their consequences.
8-The difference between a psychological counselor, a psychotherapist, and a psychiatrist.
9-Happiness and unhappiness and facing the problems and pressures of life.
10-Psychiatric drugs and the psychiatric patient and the causes of mental illnesses.
11-Electric shock. 12-Hypnosis.
The discussion was conducted by the professors and students of the department on each of these axes and their questions and inquiries about the specialty of (psychology) in general were answered.
