Within the framework of the strategic plan of Cihan University-Duhok to elevate the scientific level and develop the capabilities of its academic staff, and with the continuous support of University President Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Assad.

On July 6, 2026, Dr. Layla M. Salih, Dean of the College of Nursing at Cihan University–Duhok, successfully completed the three-week Capacity Building Program for Primary Health Care Services in Developing Countries held in the People's Republic of China.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. Salih received a certificate of completion and an honorary award in recognition of her active participation.

As a symbol of friendship and future collaboration, Dr. Salih presented representatives of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission with a commemorative book on the history of the Peshmerga, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Kurdistan Region and reinforcing academic and healthcare cooperation between Kurdistan and China.
