On October 13, 2025, the College of Nursing at Cihan University–Duhok organized a workshop titled “Foundations of Clinical Judgment: Mastering Health History Taking and the Nursing Process”, presented by Dr. Layla M. Salih and Ms. Sara J. Kadhim. The workshop aimed to strengthen nursing students’ foundational competencies in systematic patient care through comprehensive health history taking and the structured application of the nursing process. Emphasis was placed on the development of effective data collection techniques and clinical reasoning skills—core elements essential for accurate patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, and evaluation. This workshop served as an essential preparatory step for clinical training, ensuring that students are well-equipped to deliver evidence-based and patient-centered care during their clinical rotations.
