Today, on (7-6-2021), a seminar was presented by Dr. (Reber Hussein Yousef) entitled (Protection of Consumer Rights in Iraqi Law). The seminar included a statement on how the legislature in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region deals with the issue of consumer protection, as the issue of consumer protection has gained importance In recent years, with the presence of administrative weakness and the spread of corruption in most countries of the world, which led to deceiving consumers and providing them with goods that do not conform to specifications or of disproportionate prices in light of the use of advanced media in the process of deception and misinformation, especially since the consumer is considered the weak party in the contractual process. This resulted in the need for a legal regulation to protect the consumer and guarantee his rights.
