nursing students participated in an educational visit to Khabt Health Center
As part of their continuous professional development and commitment to acquiring advanced clinical skills, today, on September 28, third-year nursing students participated in an educational visit to Khabt Health Center, under the expert guidance of Dr. Ayob Abid Abdulmajeed. The objective of this visit was to provide students with hands-on experience in pediatric assessment, with a specific focus on the accurate and scientific methods of measuring weight and height in children.
The session began with an introduction to the significance of precise anthropometric measurements in pediatric care. Dr. Ayob A. Abdulmajeed highlighted how accurate weight and height assessments are crucial for diagnosing growth abnormalities, calculating medication dosages, and monitoring the overall health status of pediatric patients. Students learned the importance of using standardized equipment such as calibrated scales and stadiometers, and ensuring correct positioning of the child during measurements.
