On Monday, February 26th, 2024, in presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq and with the participation of a group of specialized professors in public and private universities in Kurdistan Region, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Cihan University - Dohuk (Dr. Reber Hussein Yousef) participated  in a workshop entitled “The Roadmap of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to Combat Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances” which was held by the Ministry of Higher Education in Erbil.
In this meeting, many topics were discussed related to how to confront the danger of drugs in society in general and universities in particular from the legal, psychological, media and academic aspects, focusing also on defining the duties and tasks of universities in educating society and confronting the dangers of drugs.
At the end of this meeting, the main lines were stated to develop an Work map for the Ministry of Higher Education and universities in order to play an important and effective role in confronting the dangers of narcotic substances.
