On (Nov 29, 2022)  in the presence of the University President Assist Prof. Dr. (Zeravan Abdulmohssen Asaad) and in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Brucellosis), was presented by Assistant Lecturer (Mr.Shirwan Hussein Darwesh) from the medical laboratory department, where it has been explained about Food poisoning is an illness caused by eating contaminated food. Infectious organisms including bacteria, viruses, and parasites or their toxins are the most common causes of food poisoning. Food poisoning symptoms can be anywhere from mild to very serious. Your symptoms may be different depending on the germ you swallowed. The most common symptoms of food poisoning are Stomach cramps Nausea Vomiting Diarrhea Fever. It's not usually serious and most people get better within a few days without treatment.  The best way to avoid getting food poisoning is to ensure you maintain high standards of personal and food hygiene when storing, handling, and preparing food. When someone consumes something toxic, their bodies will attempt to rid themselves of the toxins. One may expel by having diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or all of these at the same time. The uncomfortable signs and symptoms of food poisoning are our body's method of returning to health. In most cases, results may be seen in one to two days. The most important thing is to have lots of fluids, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration., At the end of the symposium, a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject
