Following the directives and support of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University–Duhok, to foster international academic relations and enhance faculty capabilities, Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Amir, Head of the Anesthesia Department, conducted a scientific visit on Thursday, August 6, 2026. As part of his participation in an international training course in China, he visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. The visit was conducted within the framework of an international training program dedicated to the early screening and diagnosis of cervical cancer.

During the visit, Dr. Abdul-Amir explored advanced maternal care technologies, the pivotal role of anesthesiologists in C-sections and high-risk deliveries, and safety protocols for maternal and child healthcare. This initiative aligns with Cihan University–Duhok's ongoing efforts to advance academic standards and improve healthcare services.
