On April 20th, third-year nursing students, Cihan University, Duhok, under the supervision of Mr. Karzan I. Mohammed, conducted an educational outreach visit to Payman Primary School.

During the visit, the students began with an introduction to the nursing profession, including its definition and the nature of nursing practice. Following this, they delivered presentations on key health topics, such as:

The role of carbohydrates in nutrition, with a focus on appropriate versus inappropriate consumption levels tailored to both general populations and individuals with specific health conditions.

Common challenges among school-aged children, including issues related to concentration, boredom, and the excessive use of electronic tablets.

In addition to the educational sessions, the nursing students provided practical demonstrations on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic first aid, and wound care management, aiming to enhance health awareness and emergency preparedness among the school’s staff and students.
