On October 15th, 2024, English department at Cihan University-Duhok arranged a workshop entitled "The Problems Faced by Students Learning Turkish as a Foreign Language," presented by Mr. Zeravan Ayoub and Mr. Kawar Massom. The workshop addressed the different obstacles encountered by students studying Turkish as a foreign language. These challenges frequently encompass issues pertaining to grammatical structures, phonetic characteristics, and comprehension. The challenges were thoroughly reviewed, and discussions focused on how teachers may assist students in overcoming them, as well as the development of more effective learning practices. In addition, the objective was to enhance the efficiency of this process for both students and educators, facilitating smoother language acquisition.
