On June 13, 2026, as part of the academic and charitable activities of the Scientific Zakat Foundation, the Department of General Education at Cihan University–Duhok announced the launch of a free English language course titled “Speaking Club: You, Me & ChatGPT.”

The two-week course is conducted by Dr. Balachandran Vadivel, an assistant professor from India. It aims to develop participants’ self-confidence, improve their English fluency, and strengthen their communication skills through modern teaching methods, including daily speaking practice, real-life role-plays, and the integration of artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT into interactive speaking activities.
