Within the strategic plan of Cihan University-Duhok to elevate scientific standards and develop the academic staff globally, and with the continuous support and initiative of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmohsen Assad, to empower faculty members through international forums, Dr. Layla M. Salih, Dean of the College of Nursing, conducted field visits to several renowned medical institutions in Chengdu, China, on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

These visits took place during her participation in the international training course under "The Belt and Road Initiative" titled "Digital and Intelligent Empowerment of Primary Healthcare". Dr. Salih’s itinerary included tours of prominent medical facilities known for their innovative practices:

During her tours, Dr. Salih explored critical areas such as advanced Operating Rooms integrated with high-end surgical technology, the cutting-edge Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) ward, the medical Simulation Center designed for realistic clinical training, and the Outpatient Clinics.
