Under the "Scientific Zakat" program, Cihan University-Duhok, in coordination with the Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union (Duhok Suburbs), launched a specialized English language training course on July 12, 2026, in Semel district.

The one-week course is conducted by Ms. Thikra Abdulqader, a lecturer from the English Department at Cihan University-Duhok. Titled "How to Learn English & its Impact on Employment and Youth Development", the training focuses on breaking speaking barriers, enhancing communication skills, and preparing youth for better career opportunities.
