On July 19, 2026, the official closing ceremony was held to mark the successful conclusion of the specialized English language training course in Semel district. The initiative was launched on July 12, 2026, under the "Scientific Zakat" program by Cihan University-Duhok, in coordination with the Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union (Duhok Suburbs Area).

The one-week intensive course was conducted by Ms. Thikra Abdulqader, a specialist lecturer from the English Department at the university. Titled "How to Learn English & its Impact on Employment and Youth Development", the training focused on breaking speaking barriers and preparing local youth for better career opportunities. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of graduation certificates to the participants.
