In line with the directives and recommendations of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University-Duhok, to place greater emphasis on the international academic participation and presence of the faculty, and as part of the university's ongoing efforts to build scientific connections, Dr. Jiyan Ali Haji, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, participated in two international academic events in Canada.

On July 10th, she served as an evaluator for poster and oral presentations in cancer, genetics, and clinical research at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Research Showcase, University of Toronto. Furthermore, on July 21st–22nd, 2026, she attended the Toronto Robotics Conference at the University of Toronto Mississauga, which explored the expanding role of robotics and artificial intelligence in medicine, scientific research, and laboratory practices.

This participation highlights the active role of Cihan University-Duhok in enhancing the academic and scientific capabilities of its teaching staff and supporting their involvement in global conferences and activities.
