Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmad Abdulkareem SHABAN, a faculty member at Cihan University-Duhok, participated (online) in the Second International Conference of Wasit University, Iraq, entitled: "Media and Community Peace: Reality and Challenges", held on Monday, January 20th, 2025. Dr. SHABAN presented research entitled "Beyond the Airwaves: How Independent Podcasting Contributes to Peacebuilding in Society".  Dr. SHABAN discussed in his research paper the language of contemporary podcasts in light of technologies targeting societies and their synergy in building peace and improving the quality of life. It is worth noting that Dr. Ahmad Abdulkareem SHABAN served as a (Member of the Scientific Committee) at the conference, representing Cihan University-Duhok.
