A symposium entitled: Non-coding DNA
Today on (Jun 26, 2023) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Non-coding DNA), was presented by (Mr. Mohammed Salim Khuder) Teaching assistant from the medical laboratory department, where it has been explained about theThey are non-coding genes. To date, there has been no discovery of any of its functions. But experts in human genetics use it in criminal processes and paternity determination. It also contributes to the process of genetic imprinting and population inheritance to determine race. And regulation of gene expression. Knowing the importance of DNA and the characteristics it carries, as well as providing us with information about genetic diseases. And reading DNA, there are coding and non-coding genes. Our goal is to identify non-coding genes, their importance, what is their function if there is a discovery of them, and what is their importance in the human genetic sequence. Can we control these non-coding genes? Can we re-encode these genes, At the end of the symposium a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject
