on (March 19, 2025) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled Management of Diabetic Patients During Ramadan,was presented by (Ms. Hozan Qasim Hussein) from the Medical Laboratory department , Where it has been explained about, Managing diabetes during Ramadan is crucial for ensuring the health and well-being of fasting individuals. Patients with diabetes face challenges such as hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, dehydration, and ketoacidosis due to prolonged fasting and changes in eating patterns. Proper management includes patient education, individualized treatment plans, medication adjustments, and continuous monitoring. This review highlights best practices for healthcare professionals to guide diabetic patients safely through fasting while minimizing risks. At the end of the Symposium a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject Effective diabetes management during Ramadan requires a collaborative approach between patients and healthcare providers.
