A symposium entitled: Enzymes: Importance, mechanism of action and specificity
On (Sep 26, 2023) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Enzymes: Importance, mechanism of action and specificity), was presented by (Dr.Ronak Ersan) from the medical laboratory department, where it has been explained about the Enzymes act as catalysts and influence the rate of reaction in all the living organisms. In fact, essentially all chemical reactions in the living beings are catalyzed by enzymes. All the enzymes known till now are proteins with a unique three dimensional structure that provides an active site for binding the other molecules. Enzymes have remarkable bio-catalytic properties, and because of this, they are extensively used in diagnostics of various diseases. Many enzymes are preferred markers for the detection of various diseases such as jaundice, myocardial infarction and cancer.., At the end of the symposium, a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject
