It is established when the error goes beyond acceptable medical standards and results in a criminal offense. The law distinguishes between unintentional mistakes and gross negligence. Penalties aim to protect patients while ensuring fairness for medical professionals. And at the end of symposium Criminal liability for medical error aims to balance patient protection and the integrity of the medical profession.
