Under the recommendations of the esteemed President of Cihan University - Duhok, Professor Dr. Zeravan AbdulMuhsen Asaad,

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, a scientific seminar entitled "Adopting Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Infrastructure in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)" was delivered by the Head of the Computer Science Department (Mr. Bilal Hikmat Rashid) in the People's Republic of China, as part of the "Next Generation of AI Applications and Development" conference.

The seminar, which took the form of a workshop, addressed several vital topics related to artificial intelligence applications in the Kurdistan Regional Government's infrastructure, including:

• Artificial intelligence initiatives in the Kurdistan Regional Government.

• Government systems that adopt Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in ministries.

• The most prominent challenges and opportunities in integrating artificial intelligence into government infrastructure.

• A case study on the implementation of an ERP system in the higher education sector.

• A future vision for expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies across various sectors.

• The experience of Cihan University - Duhok as a model: applied projects of the Department of Computer Science and the Artificial Intelligence Unit.

This seminar affirms the university's pioneering role in supporting technological innovation and active participation in international scientific forums, highlighting the efforts of regional institutions in adopting artificial intelligence technologies.
