On Monday 24th of June, 2024, a joint delegation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the local HARIKAR NGO visited Cihan University-Duhok, and a meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Reber Hussein Yousef about supporting refugees and displaced persons by providing them with legal services such as legal consultations, awareness, civil documentation, and following up on lawsuits. Cihan University expressed all possible support in order to serve refugees and displaced persons.
The joint delegation from the two organizations consisted of:
•    (Shaisteh Kiran) Refugee Protection Section at (UNHCR).
•    (Aram Mohiuddin) Refugee Protection Section at (UNHCR).
•    (Ahmed Iskan) Head of the Legal Section for Displaced Persons at HARIKAR NGO.
•    (Lawin Suleiman) Head of the Legal Section for Refugees at HARIKAR NGO.
