Training course titled "First Aid" for members of the Civil Defense Police Directorate – Duhok
As part of its community outreach efforts, Zakat Al-Ilm Foundation launched a training course titled "First Aid" on July 7th, 2025, for members of the Civil Defense Police Directorate – Duhok, following the recommendation of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok.
Led by Dr. Layla Mohammed Salih, Dean of the College of Nursing, and supported by Mr. Basam Shawkat and Mr. Karzan Ismail, the course aimed to equip participants with essential theoretical and practical skills in emergency care. Topics included first aid fundamentals, CPR, bleeding control, fracture and burn management, and emergency response to choking, allergic reactions, drowning, and heat-related injuries.
The training enhanced the readiness and life-saving capabilities of first responders in critical situations
