Targeted Nutrition and Diet Therapy: Optimizing Dietary Interventions for Specific Medical Conditions.
On November 12th, 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Layla M. Salih and in the presence of Dr. Kajeen and other faculty members, third-year nursing students (Ahmad Makanzi, Sidra Sameer, and Sania Safer) conducted a workshop titled "Targeted Nutrition and Diet Therapy: Optimizing Dietary Interventions for Specific Medical Conditions." This workshop examined the importance of personalized nutrition in managing and preventing specific health conditions. Emphasis was placed on tailoring dietary strategies to meet the specific needs of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and colon cancer. Participants engaged in discussions on nutrient timing, food selection, and portion control, informed by the latest research on the therapeutic effects of certain nutrients.
