On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Cihan University–Duhok, College of Health Sciences–Medical Laboratory Department, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, held a workshop within the “Zakata Zansti” initiative, focusing on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS).

The session emphasized the complementary roles of laboratory and nursing professionals in AMS, including accurate diagnostics, proper specimen handling, infection-control adherence, and safe antibiotic administration.

Aim:

To highlight the collaborative laboratory–nursing role in strengthening AMS and reducing AMR.
