Cihan University – Duhok continues to actively participate in international conferences by involving its academic and administrative staff in global platforms.

 

At the initiative of Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of the University, and in alignment with the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the engagement of faculty members in events that meet international standards, Mr. Bilal Hikmat Rasheed, Head of the Computer Science Department, took part in an international seminar held in Republic of China, under the title:

 

“The Development and Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping Future Societies and Emerging Development Models,”

which took place in Guiyang City, from July 23 to August 5, 2025.

 

 This intensive course brought together academic leaders, AI researchers, and industry experts from around the globe to explore the latest breakthroughs and future directions in artificial intelligence. The seminar covered a wide range of cutting-edge topics, including generative AI, AI in healthcare, smart cities, ethical AI frameworks, and AI-driven automation. Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, participants engaged with real-world AI use cases, emerging technologies, and cross-disciplinary research. The involvement of the department head signifies Cihan University–Duhok’s commitment to fostering innovation and academic excellence in AI, while building international collaborations to support the integration of advanced AI methodologies in education and research.
