Advanced Training in Labor and Delivery: Clinical Insights and Simulated Practice at Cihan University – Duhok

On August 31, 2025, the College of Nursing at Cihan University – Duhok successfully concluded a specialized professional training course as part of the Scientific Zakat Foundation’s initiatives, launched under the patronage of Prof. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of Cihan University – Duhok, to strengthen healthcare capacity and professional education.

The course, titled "Stages of Labour and Delivery: Clinical Understanding and Practical Approaches," spanned three consecutive days and was delivered by Dr. Lana H. Nashaat, with participation from a range of healthcare and nursing professionals.

This intensive training offered a comprehensive exploration of both theoretical and clinical dimensions of the labor and delivery process. Participants studied the physiological stages of childbirth and received hands-on training using advanced, high-fidelity obstetric manikins that accurately simulate real clinical settings.

The program significantly enhanced the clinical skills of attendees, equipping them with evidence-based practices essential for managing labor and delivery in modern obstetric care environments.
