Department of Law

The Department of Law is aimed at realizing the following objectives:  

- The preparation of university graduates specialized in legal sciences.  
- The satisfaction of the needs of both the governmental offices and institutions as well as the private sector to university graduates specialized in law.  
- Participation in activating the movement of legal scientific research, as well as satisfying the requirements of the legal reform, including the suggestion of legislative reforms, and enacting new legislations, which will be able to keep abreast of variable needs and circumstances of the society.
 - The development and dissemination of legal science

The Department of Law will play a basic and essential role in promoting the standard of the highly-specialized legal culture of the graduates of legal studies at Cihan University. Twinning and interaction will also be made between both the theoretical and applied aspects of our studies, to prepare highly-qualified graduates of law, who will be able to be active in their careers and cover the demands of the labor market, as soon as they are being graduated.

The student learns during his studies the various laws, especially international law, private law, international organizations law, administrative law, and Islamic law. The student also learns legal English and Arabic.
