The Member at Cihan University-Duhok, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmad AbdulKareem Shaban, participated in the "International Conference on Cinema and Memory" held in Algiers, between (9-11) of December 2024. Dr. Shaban presented a "working paper" from his research that was published in a book that includes the conference proceedings entitled: "The Language of Cinema, and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Forming the Collective Memory of the Audience, a Comparative Study between Traditional and Contemporary Reception Patterns". On the sidelines of the conference, several side workshops were held in both the "National Higher Institute of Cinema" and the "National Higher Institute of Performing Arts" in the Algerian capital. Dr. Ahmad AbdulKareem Shaban participated with a group of researchers from Italy, France and Spain, in addition to local researchers from Algeria, in important discussions and dialogue sessions with students about the language of future cinema and its effects on learning and forming collective memory in societies.  It is noteworthy that Dr. Shaban conducted many television and radio interviews representing Cihan University-Duhok at the conference, in which he discussed the topics of his research and his participation in this conference.
