Today on (Nov. 7, 2023) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Microscopic Detection of prevalence Entamoeba histolytica and Entamoeba dispar among pediatric  in Duhok Province, Iraq), was presented by the (Asst. Lect. Hileen mustafa haji) from the Department of Medical laboratory, Where it has been explained about Globally, enteric infections are a serious public health issue, , where they are more prevalent in areas with inadequate water supplies, poor sanitation, low socioeconomic conditions, and poor hygiene practices. It is still unclear why some people who have had an infection with E. histolytica go on to develop clinical amoebiasis while others do not. This study aims to detect amebiasis cases microscopically then to  differentiate between the pathogenic E. histolytica from non pathogenic E. dispar. At the end of the symposium, a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject.
