A symposium entitled: Social Phobia
Today on (Oct 29, 2022) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Social Phobia), was presented by Assistant Lecturer (Ms. Wafaa Ali Kader) from the public education department, Where it has been explained about Social phobia is a fear or anxiety about certain social situations or social functioning. These situations are often avoided or tolerated at the cost of a lot of distress.
Showing ways to combat social phobia as follows Cognitive behavioral therapy may also help. In this therapy, patients learn to do the following:
Use relaxation techniques
Identify patterns of thought and behavior that may trigger anxiety or panic
Modify those thought patterns
Modify the behavior accordingly
At the end of the symposium, a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject
