Today, on 7-9-2021, and in the presence of (Assistant Professor Dr.Bayar Mohamed Rashid Omar),the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and a number of heads of departments and teachers a symposium entitled (Predatory journals: what they are and how to avoid them) was presented by Dr. (Razwan M.S. Najimaldeen), head of the Department of Computer Science. In this symposium, the focus was on the mechanism of selecting journals to publish research and the extent of the  effect of predatory journals on the academic field. At the end of the seminar, a set of questions and answers were raised on this subject.
