Today on (Oct. 31, 2023) in the presence of the head of departments and lecturer a symposium entitled (Euphemism and Language Change), was presented by the (Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Abdulkareem SHABAN) from the Department of English, Where it has been explained about Euphemism is a linguistic phenomenon that involves the substitution of mild or indirect words or phrases in place of harsh or sensitive ones. It is used to soften the impact of certain expressions on the listener or reader.
