It is classified into type 1 diabetes (T1D), type 2 diabetes (T2D), gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and other specific types. The increasing global prevalence of diabetes, especially in low- and middle-income countries, poses serious clinical and socioeconomic challenges.,  and At the end of Symposium Diabetes mellitus, with its complex pathophysiology and diverse manifestations, remains one of the most pressing global health challenges. Comprehensive management—encompassing education, prevention, pharmacological intervention, and patient-centered care—is vital to preventing complications and enhancing quality of life. Coordinated public health efforts, particularly in resource-limited settings, are essential to address the growing burden of this disease.
