On 30/4/2026, two students from the Medical Laboratory Analysis Department at Cihan University - Duhok, Lawin Jirjees and Sikvan Salam, participated in the "1st Annual Senior Science Conference" organized by the University of Zakho. This participation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Helen Mustafa, Rapporteur of the Anesthesia Department.

The students presented a research paper entitled:  
"Prevalence and Clinical Manifestations with Different Methods for Detection of Helicobacter pylori Infection in Gastrointestinal Disorders in Duhok, Iraq"

The study investigated the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection and its associated clinical manifestations, with an emphasis on comparing different laboratory diagnostic methods for detecting the infection in patients with gastrointestinal disorders in Duhok Governorate, Iraq. The research also addressed the medical significance of this infection and the role of accurate diagnostic approaches in enhancing treatment and prevention strategies.
