World Anesthesia Day Celebration at Cihan University – Duhok
Under the esteemed patronage of the President of Cihan University – Duhok, Professor Dr. Zervan AbdulMohsen Asaad, the Department of Anesthesia proudly organized the World Anesthesia Day event on October 15th, held under the official logo and slogan (FAWP#).
The celebration highlighted the vital role of anesthesia in modern medicine and showcased the department’s academic and practical achievements through a series of rich and engaging activities, including:
1. Opening Presentation – Delivered by the Head of the Anesthesia Department, focusing on the evolution, advancements, and current developments within the department at Cihan University – Duhok.
2. Student Seminar Presentations – Insightful talks prepared and presented by anesthesia students, emphasizing innovation, academic excellence, and teamwork, about History of Anesthesia.
3. Panel Discussion on Anesthesia Sciences Featuring distinguished experts Dr. Muhammad Abdul Amir (Head of Anesthesia Department), Dr. Ramzan Jaafar (Physician Anesthesiologists) , Dr. Idris Saleh ( Physician Anesthesiologists), and Mrs. Helen Mustafa (Microbiologist) , who shared their expertise on the latest research trends and challenges in anesthesia and perioperative care.
4. Hands-On Training Sessions – Conducted by students under the supervision of Mr. Bassam Shawkat Ismael, Anesthesia Specialist. providing practical demonstrations and simulations to strengthen clinical skills and professional readiness in Anesthesia labs at Cihan University- Duhok.
The primary objective of this event was to raise awareness about the importance of anesthesia, enhance scientific knowledge among students and professionals, and highlight recent innovations and advancements in surgical and anesthetic practices.
Through this initiative, the Department of Anesthesia reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, research development, and community engagement, aligning with the university’s vision to foster medical education that meets global standards.
